Connecting to MICEX

The Technical Access service provides MICEX customers with remote access to the trading and clearing & settlement subsystems of the MICEX Trading System.

The procedure of setting up the technical access involves the following steps:

1. Be admitted to trading at the chosen MICEX market by way of applying to the respective market Section. Not required if only market data access in needed.

2. Choose the appropriate software and a connection method. The procedure for gaining technical access consists of the following key stages:

  1. Selecting a connection method (connection to the MICEX Trading Network or the Internet).
  2. Selecting an authorized provider if connection to the MICEX Trading Network is to be set up.
  3. Signing either the Technical Access Agreement or the Contract for Providing Integrated Technological Services (depends on the chosen market) unless it was signed earlier.
  4. Selecting a trade terminal.
  5. Selecting a Bridge (serial COM-COM or IP security appliance) when connecting an external/brokerage system.
  6. Selecting a certified brokerage system if needed.
  7. Setting up a local Gateway server to improve the quality of client service (optional).
  8. Connecting to the MICEX Electronic Settlement System (not required for the Currency Market).
  9. Connecting to the MICEX Trading System test environment.
  10. Testing.
  11. Submitting all the required documents to MICEX (the list depends on the market and the chosen connection architecture).

3. Purchase the required software

  1. Sign a software purchase agreement and/or support service agreement with the MICEX Technical Center.

  2. To get the software installation packages (including trial versions), documentation and technical support please contact the Support Team (telephone: +7 495 705–96–82, e-mail: soft-support@micex.com).
  3. Upon completion of software installation and setup, the parties must sign the Certificate of Readiness.
  4. The right to use the software to connect to the MICEX Trading System is granted to the user for the term of the contract, from the beginning of the business day following the date that the Certificate of Readiness is signed by both parties.
