1. How to decrease the data (orderbook, orders) refresh time and improve the order processing speed?

To improve the speed and quality of services it is recommended to upgrade the connection channel up to at least 256 kbps and to set up a local Gateway.

2. What minimum of hardware and software do I need to get access to the trading session?

To get access to the trading session you need to have a dedicated line to the MICEX network and one of the trader workplaces. Access via the Internet is also possible: this connection method is provided by our partner E-Stock. Recommended hardware requirements for comfortable operation: Intel Pentium 500 MHz, 128MB RAM, 20MB free space on hard drive, 1024x768 screen resolution.

3. When do I need the Bridge?

The Universal Bridge is needed to connect so-called external systems to the MICEX Trading System. Examples of such external systems are: analytical and broker systems, risk-management systems, order collection and trade information distribution systems, backoffices, etc.

4. So what is the difference between the Bridge and the Gateway?

The Gateway is always present. But if you do not purchase the local installation then the gateway is installed at MICEX and its presence is not obvious. The local gateway installation allows to gain a set of benefits: to decrease the traffic to/from the Trading System, to update trading session information quicker, to connect a large number of clients, etc. The Bridge is optional and it is only needed to connect external/broker systems to the Trading System.

5. When you are talking about the Bridge, what is "COM-COM" and "PIX"?

The Universal Bridge is available in two versions: one for use with the serial RS-232 (i.e. COM) port and another — for use with the PIX Security Appliance per TCP/IP protocol. Performance tests show the 30-40% advantage of using PIX over the traditional COM.
