The Procedure for an EDCS Participant to Perform a Scheduled Replacement of his Cryptographic Keys
- In the Electronic Document Circulation System, the term of validity of an EDCS Participant’s closed (secret) cryptographic keys is 1 year.
- One month before the term of validity of his closed (secret) keys expires, an EDCS Participant must create his new closed (secret) keys and generate and send the application for an electronic signature key certificate to pki@micex.com via e-mail. If the power of attorney in the name of the electronic signature key certificate holder has expired, a new power of attorney must be executed and delivered to the EDCS Organizer’s Security Administrator.
- Pay for the EDCS Organizer’s services in accordance with the fees and payment procedure (see the Payment for Services section) on the basis of the invoice issued by the EDCS Organizer.
- Include the EDCS Participant’s certificate generated by the EDCS Organizer in the local certificates reference guide at the client workstation using the Certificate Reference Guide program.
- Sign, seal, and return one copy of the electronic signature key certificate to the EDCS Organizer’s Security Administrator (in hard copy).
- Upon expiration of the term of validity of the used closed (secret) keys, the EDCS Participant must make the new electronic signature key certificate accessible and begin to use the key media with new cryptographic keys for work.
- If new certificates of other EDCS Participants with whom electronic documents are exchanged appear in the network reference guide, the certificates are transferred to the local certificate reference guide at the EDCS Participant’s client workstation either automatically or by the EDCS Participant on the basis of notices received from the counterparty (another EDCS Participant).
