Vadim N. Subbotin Vice-president, Member of Executive Board
Vadim Subbotin was born on 13 April 1965 in the city of Naro-Fominsk, Moscow Region. In 1987, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Accounting and Economics of Moscow Institute of Finance, where he specialized in accounting and economic analysis. V.Subbotin started his career at Vnesheconombank of the USSR, where he dealt with the financial and currency issues of cooperation with the countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance and such new forms of economic and financial cooperation as joint ventures, settlements in national currencies, etc. In 1991, V.Subbotin assumed the post of the Head of the Foreign Operations Office of Konversbank. Beginning from 1993, V.Subbotin, holding the post of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Konversbank, was engaged in organizing the management of Konversbank's financial activities, supervised the work of the Operations Department, international and domestic settlements and controlled exchange operations, operations involving securities and depositary operations. In 2001-2002, V.Subbotin held the post of First Vice-President and Executive Chairman of Transport Clearing House, the unified system of mutual settlements for air transportation.
In 2001-2002, he assumed the post of the CEO of Mir Aeroflota Company, the affiliate tourist company of Aeroflot-International Airlines. From 2004 till his appointment as Deputy CEO of the MICEX, V.Subbotin worked at Russian Standard Bank (Bank Russki Standard), where he was in charge of analyzing and implementing financial and banking technologies. Vadim Subbotin is married and has two daughters.
