Sector for Innovation and Growth Companies (IGC)
The Sector for Innovation and Growth Companies (IGC Sector) was established on the MICEX Stock Exchange in June 2006. The IGC Sector is intended for companies with relatively small capitalization (from 100 million to 5 billion rubles). The Sector offers liberal rules of admission to the public market. However, issuers must satisfy certain standards of transparency and information disclosure. Also, issuers have to sign an agreement with a listing agent. The IGC Sector is for high-tech companies dealing with telecoms, online business, software development, radio electronics and semiconductors, biotechnologies and pharmaceutics as well as companies involved in priority national projects. For a company to be admitted to the IGC Sector, its yearly growth of revenues must be at least 20%.
In December 2006 the MICEX Stock Exchange accredited first listing agents. These are financial companies which guide innovation and growth companies to the exchange-based market.
