Getting a Member Status procedure
The MICEX Group appreciates your interest in our services and hopes that the information in this section will help you complete the established procedures for participating in exchange-based trading.
Before making the decision to begin trading in a specific market, it is advisable to review the list of Trading Instruments, Membership Requirements, fees, and, if necessary, contact the MICEX Client Relations Department, telephone: +7 495 234–48–13.
Once your decision to participate in trading is made, the following sequence of steps is recommended:
1. To get a Member status in a MICEX Group market:
- in the stock market, follow the procedure for joining the list of MICEX Stock Exchange Members;
- in the government securities market, contact the Bank of Russia’s territorial administration to receive Dealer status in the GKO\OFZ market, then receive admission to trading in the MICEX Government Securities Section.
- in the Securities and Indices derivatives market, follow the procedure for joining the list of Members in the MICEX SE Derivatives Market;
- in the FX and STIR derivatives market, follow the procedure for admission to membership in the MICEX Derivatives Market (Standard Contracts) Section;
- in the commodity derivatives market, follow the procedure for admission to membership in the Standard Contracts for Grains, Legumes, and Industrial Crops Section of NAMEX;
- in the currency market, follow the procedure for admission to membership in the MICEX Currency Market Section and the procedure for joining the National Clearing Center’s list of FOREX Clearing Participants;
- in the money market, follow the procedure for admission to Bank of Russia deposit and credit operations on the MICEX Trading System.
Admission to Trading:
2.1. Upon receiving notification of getting membership or admission to trading, the fees and charges established by the rules of the market in question are to be paid. Please note that your failure to pay the established admission fee is grounds for excluding you from membership in the section.
2.2. Once the admission fee is paid, connection to the Trading System to be made using one of the technological access options. Those who already have access to the Trading System via a remote terminal must install additional software (which usually does not require additional communication channels).

2.3. Along with executing the technological access documents, a Member is to execute other contracts in accordance with MICEX rules and, if necessary, contracts with the following MICEX Group organizations:
- MICEX Settlement House, tel. +7 495 745–81–09;
- National Clearing Center, tel. +7 495 782– 97– 94, extension 3009;
- National Depository Center, tel. +7 495 956–27–89.
2.4. Once the contracts have been executed and the accounts opened, Traders are to be accredited.
2.5. Other actions provided for by the rules of admission to trading in the relevant MICEX Group market may be necessary.
