The MICEX Indices are suitable benchmarks for active portfolio managers and other investors who want to invest in Russia. They are also an ideal underlying benchmarks for financial products thanks to their transparent and strongly rules methodology and the high liquidity of the stocks they contain, which make them the best integrated performance indicators for the Russian equity market. For market participants, the MICEX Indices represent a transparent, liquid and easy to replicate investment vehicle.

Companies that wish to issue structured financial products based on the MICEX indices as underlying must conclude an index licensing agreement with MICEX. Under the Index licensing agreement MICEX grants the licensee the right to issue, distribute, have listed, trade and advertize structured financial products based on licensable indices and corresponding index composition.
