Vadim Nikolayevich Subbotin, Vice-President
Vadim Subbotin was born on April 13th, 1965 in the town of Naro-Fominsk in the Moscow region. In 1987, he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Accounting and Economics of the Moscow Institute of Finance, where he specialized in accounting and economic analysis. He started his career at the Vnesheconombank of the USSR, where he dealt with issues of financial interaction and currency cooperation with the countries of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance and with the development of new forms of economic and financial cooperation such as joint ventures, settlements in national currencies, etc.
Beginning in 1991, he headed the Foreign Operations Department of Konversbank.
Starting in 1993, as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Konversbank, he organized the management of Konversbank’s financial activities and supervised the work of the Operations Department dealing with international and domestic settlements, including exchange operations, securities operations, and depositary operations. From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Subbotin held the position of First Vice-President and Executive Director of ZAO Transport Clearing House, a unified mutual settlements system for air transport.
From 2002 to 2003, he held the position of General Director of Mir Aeroflota LLC, Aeroflot-International Airlines’ subsidiary tourism company. From 2004 until his appointment as Deputy CEO of MICEX, Mr. Subbotin worked at JSC Russian Standard Bank, where he was in charge of analysis and implementation of financial and banking technologies.
Mr. Subbotin has been Vice-President and member of the MICEX Executive Board since October 14th, 2005.
Vadim Subbotin is married and has two daughters.
