Marina Medvedeva graduated from the Moscow Institute of Finance. She worked in the USSR Ministry of Finance (1982–1991) and the RF Ministry of Finance (1992–1993). In 1991–1992 Marina Medvedeva worked at the Moscow International Stock Exchange. From 1993 to 2008 she worked in the MICEX Group. Marina Medvedeva advanced from the position of Chief Economist of the MICEX Securities Department to the position of First Deputy CEO, Member of the Directorate of the MICEX Stock Exchange and Vice President of the MICEX. She was directly involved in the creation of MICEX Stock Exchange, the transference of the stock market business from the MICEX to the MICEX Stock Exchange and the development of the government securities market and the derivatives market. In 2008–2010 Marina Medvedeva worked at Gazprombank.

Since September 2010, Marina Medvedeva has served as Vice President and Member of the MICEX Executive Board.
