This section presents our guiding rules and principles for employee selection in the form of answers to questions often asked by candidates.

How can I learn about vacancies and submit my resume?

We place information about vacancies on our corporate website and on major specialized employment websites. If no vacancies are currently available at the MICEX Group in the field in which you are planning your further career development, please visit the Personnel Reserve section.

How soon will I receive a response to my resume?

No resumes are disregarded. If your professional abilities and career goals meet the requirements of a position, or should a vacancy become available in the field you are interested in, we will contact you in a way convenient to you.

How long does the employment process take?

The selection and screening process for employment candidates consists of the following principal stages. The duration of a stage depends on the level of the position sought and on the complexity of the tasks to be performed. In dealing with any candidate, we seek to conduct an open dialogue and always try to provide the candidates with information on the time limits for passing each following stage.

Who is an ideal candidate for employment with the MICEX Group?

In our employees, we appreciate qualities such as professionalism, initiative, determination, motivation, teamwork, and desire for self-improvement; as for managers, qualities such as maturity, long-term vision, and the ability and readiness to share your knowledge, help develop your subordinates, and work towards a common goal are also encouraged. These are the professional qualities we are looking for in our potential employees.

Do I need to live in Moscow to be employed by the MICEX Group?

Our business is primarily concentrated in Moscow and we give first priority to inhabitants of Moscow and the Moscow region when looking for candidates. If you are interested in the possibility of employment at MICEX and you are ready to move to Moscow, we invite you to look at our current vacancies or join our Personnel Reserve. We will be glad to consider your candidature and we will contact you if your professional qualifications and career goals meet the requirements of the position. However, it may not be necessary to move to Moscow to work for the MICEX Group as our interests are widely represented throughout Russia.

What opportunities are available to students and graduates?

Senior students and graduates of higher education institutions planning to build their careers in the field of exchange operations may participate in on-site training at the MICEX Group’s companies. Further information on the subject is available here.

Do brokers work for the MICEX Group?

We work closely with brokers and traders who represent the interests of companies participating in exchange trading and are our clients’ employees. If you are a broker or a trader planning to change the course of your career, we will be glad to consider your resume for a position where your knowledge and skills may be effectively applied.

Is an FSFM certificate necessary for employment at the MICEX Group?

Having an FSFM certificate is necessary for employees and managers directly involved in conducting professional activities in the securities market (more detailed information on the subject may be found on the website of the FSFM of Russia). In some cases, having a certificate is not mandatory, but it may be seen as your competitive advantage over other candidates. The necessity of having an FSFM or other related certificate is always indicated in the description of a vacancy.

What are the remuneration conditions at MICEX Group companies?

MICEX’s employees’ remuneration consists of three basic parts: salary, bonuses, and a benefits package. The amount of the salary, that is, fixed guaranteed earnings paid on a monthly basis, depends on the type of work, the level of position, and the degree of the employee’s professional knowledge and skills. Bonuses are paid based on the results of a performance assessment of each employee’s official duties and the effectiveness with which he performs them.

When determining the aggregate earnings for each position, we are guided by the MICEX Group’s remuneration policy and by relevant remuneration practices existing in the labor market.

A grade system is being introduced at the MICEX Group, which makes the remuneration policy understandable and transparent to both employees and candidates for employment.

Does MICEX provide a benefits package? What does it contain?

According to MICEX policy, each employee, upon successful completion of the probation period, determines what components his benefits package will consist of, taking into consideration a specific amount of “virtual” funds determined for each position. More options are continuously being added. The current benefits package includes a complete range of medical services and recreational programs. It also includes a number of pecuniary benefits provided to employees in various situations.

What are working conditions like in MICEX Group companies?

Once hired for regular employment, a new employee is entered into the company’s staff. A basic condition of a labor contract is compliance with the requirements imposed on labor relations by the laws of the Russian Federation.

What is the adaptation period like?

We pay a great deal of attention to our employees’ first months with the company. We all take an interest in their adaptation to a new team, successful completion of initial training, and the achievement of their first results. We carry out a number of events, beginning with a workplace orientation on the first day. The program for new employees also includes a visit to Russia’s Museum of Exchange History, which has updated its exhibition commemorating our 15th anniversary.

What opportunities exist for training and professional development?

MICEX’s business is a specialized and in many aspects unique one; therefore, it is necessary for each new employee to master new knowledge to some extent, depending on his previous experience.

The MICEX Group employs the best specialists and managers dedicated to sharing their knowledge and experience with new employees. Widely available professional development methods such as workplace training and development based on the results of regular feedback from immediate supervisors enable employees to continuously improve their skills.

MICEX’s training practices are aimed at developing employees’ professional competence, enabling our company to achieve greater success. Participation in international conferences and training at other exchanges enable us to gain international experience and introduce the best practices in Russia’s financial market.

What are the possibilities for career advancement?

Career advancement depends to a considerable extent on the employee himself. Three components of success, namely, the desire to build a career at the MICEX Group, considerable achievements, and the ability to complete new, more complex tasks, will enable an employee to move up the corporate ladder.

The grade system being introduced at the MICEX Group’s companies will make the career management process more transparent to both employees and supervisors.

Does the MICEX Group hold corporate events and holidays?

Each summer we summarize our interim results together and in winter we celebrate the New Year. We hold the New Year celebration for our employees in the end of December, and it is happily recalled throughout the year. We also support the development of personal talents through holding various creative contests, where each employee may show all sides of his talent.
