The MICEX' Foreign Exchange market Section is a form of association of foreign exchange market participants. The main task of the Section is to create conditions that would enable all foreign exchange market participants to take part in the FX trading.

The Statute on the FX market Section at MICEX regulates the activity of the Section.

The Section is managed by the Section Council, which consists of the Chairman, his deputy (deputies) and members of the Section Council.

The Section Council performs the following functions:

• Admission to and exclusion from the Section's membership;
• Processing of a standard documents that regulate functioning of the Section;
• Working out of an advice on improvement of the Section's functioning.

The Section Council in its activity guided by following main principles:

• Providing equal conditions in trading for all the participants;
• Up to time, reliable and efficient settlement-clearing services;
• Free and available information about FX market standing.

Documents processed and decisions agreed by the Section Council then introduced for approval to the MICEX' Exchange Council.

The Exchange Council appoints a Chairman of the Section Council. The Chairman arranges work of the Section Council performing following functions:

• Introduces for approval to the Exchange Council candidacies of the Section Council's members;
• Summons and conducts meetings of the Section Council;
• Presents for approval to the Exchange Council decisions and documents agreed by the Section Council;
• Introduces to the Exchange Council candidacies for admission into and exclusion from the Section's membership and also submits issues involved with altering of categories of the membership to the Exchange Council for making an appropriate decisions on them.

The Exchange Council appoints the Section Council's members for one-year period. The Chairman of the Section Council appoints one or a few deputies from the Section Council members. Each member of the Section Council has one vote when solving questions in the Section Council.
